TWAS invites PALAST to nominate five Palestinian Scientist for TWAS membership PDF Print E-mail

TWAS is a merit-based academy, and its membership represents the best of science in developing  and developed countries. Its main mission is to promote scientific excellence and capacity in the South for science-based sustainable development. The main criterion for election as a TWAS Member is scientific excellence. Only those scientists who have attained the highest international standards and have made significant contributions to the advancement of science can be nominated as Fellows.

Based on a Council directive TWAS is aiming at receiving nominations for membership from countries that are poorly represented or not represented at all in TWAS's current membership.TWAS  therefore  invited PALAST to provide them with the full Curriculum Vitae of the five best scientists in your country for us to review. Special attention should be given to women scientists. 

Membership restrictions:
- Scientists should be less than 70 years of age; and
- Scientists should be elected members of the national academy, if a well-established and recognized national academy exists.
